Man in his 30s dies after being shot in Orange County, sheriff’s office says

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County deputies are investigating after a man in his 30s was shot and killed near a neighborhood, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies responded about 10 p.m. Sunday to the 2200 block of South Goldenrod Road near Curry Ford Road after reports of an aggravated battery.

When deputies arrived, they located a man in his 30s with an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office has not released information about a suspect or the circumstances that led to the shooting.
