ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier warned parents to watch what social media platforms their kids are using during a news conference about child pornography arrests in Orlando Monday.
“This is dangerous,” Uthmeier said. “So, parents, look at this. If you’re not aware of what your kids are doing at home on their devices, you better figure it out right now.”

In the news conference, Uthmeier singled out Discord, a forum platform popular with gamers and streamers, TikTok and Instagram as applications being used to contact and exploit young people.
Uthmeier also mentioned Roblox. The attorney general has accused that online gaming platform in the past of lax policies that have allowed sexual predators to get access to children. Florida is currently suing Roblox, but Uthmeier said he hopes to bring ciminal charges as well, saying, “somebody needs to be held accountable.”
