‘RISE AND SHINE:’ Volusia deputies storm drug house, find over 100K pills inside

Raid happened early Thursday at Deltona home

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies uncovered plenty of illicit substances after they stormed a drug home early Thursday morning, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.

The raid was part of a continuing, joint investigation involving not only the VSO, but also the ATF, DEA, VBI, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

“This morning, we’re setting out to execute numerous search warrants throughout the city as part of a drug trafficking organization‚" Chief Deputy Brian Henderson said ahead of the raid. “We believe that we will dismantle a massive drug trafficking organization that’s not only impacting here in Volusia County, but throughout the country.”

In a release, VSO officials said that the property is located in Deltona, where investigators found the following:

  • Three kilograms of cocaine
  • Twelve pounds of methamphetamine
  • Five pounds of MDMA powder
  • Over 100,000 pills of various types
  • Twelve pounds of psilocybin mushrooms
