Crews battling 120-acre brush fire in Umatilla Fire is in the area of Wiygul Road
UMATILLA, Fla. – Crews are battling a 120-acre brush fire in Umatilla, and people are being asked to avoid the area.
The fire is in the area of Wiygul Road, between State Road 19 and County Road 439.
The fire is about 70% contained as of around 9 p.m., according to the Florida Forest Service. Smoke will be visible to people in the area.
Three homes were also evacuated.
People are being asked to avoid Wiygul Road while Umatilla Fire and Lake County Fire crews battle it.
