Here’s how Central Florida Spirit Airlines workers can get free job help

CareerSource Central Florida offering free service

ORLANDO, Fla. – Hundreds of Spirit Airlines employees left without a paycheck after the airline’s sudden shutdown can get help finding new jobs this week in Central Florida.

CareerSource Central Florida is hosting two Rapid Response hiring events at its Southeast Orange Career Center, offering displaced workers free resume assistance, career counseling, access to training services, and job placement support.

  • Tuesday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday,11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Both events are held at the CareerSource Central Florida – Southeast Orange Career Center, located at 5784 S. Semoran Blvd., Orlando, FL 32822

Spirit became the first major U.S. airline in 25 years to go out of business because of financial problems. According to CareerSource Central Florida, nearly 1,600 employees were impacted across the Central Florida region by the shutdown.
