MELBOURNE, Fla. – Detectives are now investigating after a body was discovered on the roof of a local building this week, according to the Melbourne Police Department.
In a release, police said they were tipped off about the body around 3:22 p.m. at 2261 Sarno Road.
Upon arrival, first responders found the body on the building’s roof, the release shows.
“At this time, investigators have not positively identified the individual, nor have they determined the cause and manner of death,” the release reads.
Detectives are looking into the situation alongside the Brevard County Medical Examiner’s Office, though investigators said they believe that it was an isolated incident and that there isn’t any ongoing threat to the public.
