SpaceX rocket lifts off in early morning launch from the Space Coast

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket took off from the Space Coast just after 6:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

The rocket carried a batch of 29 Starlink satellites into orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Shortly after liftoff, the first stage booster landed on the “A Shortfall of Gravitas” drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.

The booster has previously flown 28 missions, including Crew-5 to the International Space Station and 20 Starlink missions.
