OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A former campus monitor at Liberty High School was arrested this week after reports of inappropriate conduct with students, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
In a release, deputies said that they received a call over the weekend from the parent of a student at Liberty High School.

Afterward, a deputy began looking into “inappropriate conversations” between the student and the campus monitor, later identified as 30-year-old Justice Jones, the sheriff’s office reported.
“The deputy located a second student that had been verbally propositioned by the campus monitor,” the release reads. “A detective with OCSO followed up on the initial complaint and had a warrant signed for the arrest of the campus monitor.”
However, deputies also said that Jones had already been fired from his position with the district on May 15 for an unrelated issue, and he’d returned to his home in Vero Beach.
On Thursday, though, Jones returned to Liberty High School and was approached by deputies as he remained in his vehicle, investigators noted.
While he initially fled from deputies, he was ultimately arrested along John Young Parkway after getting caught up in traffic, the release mentions.
Now, Jones faces charges of attempted sexual battery by someone over 24 years old to a victim under 16/17 years old. He also faces a charge of fleeing and eluding a traffic stop.
“When he was interviewed by detectives, he admitted to fleeing from deputies and inappropriate contact with the students at Liberty High School,” the release continues.
School safety detectives are asking anyone who had any inappropriate interactions with Jones at Liberty High School or who feels that they may have been a victim to contact the sheriff’s office.
