Woman in her 50s killed in Apopka shooting, deputies say

APOPKA, Fla. – Detectives with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a Memorial Day shooting that left a woman in her 50s dead.

The shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. on the 1300 block of South Central Avenue, according to deputies.

Authorities say the unidentified woman was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.

The sheriff’s office says it has no additional information to release at this time.
