ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 22-year-old man was arrested this month as part of a rape case out of Orange County, according to the sheriff’s office.
In a release, deputies said that the man — identified as Petr Gavrilets — was taken into custody earlier this month on charges of rape, false imprisonment, and battery by strangulation.

But based on the investigation so far, sex crimes detectives have become concerned that there may be more victims out there, deputies added.
“Gavrilets’ actions in our case were extremely violent, and we are concerned there may be others out there who have been similarly attacked,” the release reads.
