15-year-old girl had videos on her phone depicting sexual abuse of children, police say

Authorities say some of the victims were as young as 3 years old

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – A 15-year-old girl has been arrested after police say they found video on her phone that depicted the sexual abuse of children.

On Wednesday, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced the arrest of Isabelle Valdez, of Altamonte Springs, on 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material. The investigation began in February 2026, after detectives with Altamonte Springs Police reportedly found the video on Valdez’s phone.

FDLE then obtained a search warrant and conducted a forensic analysis on the device. Authorities say they then found several videos depicting the sexual abuse of children, some as young as 3 years old.

At the time of the arrest, Valdez was in custody on unrelated charges, accused of planning to stab one of her classmates at Lake Brantley High School.

The case is being prosecuted by the State Attorney’s Office, 18th Judicial Circuit.
