EUSTIS, Fla. – After two drive-by shootings broke out in Eustis on Thursday night, police announced they’ve identified five of the suspects involved.
In a release, police said that the incidents happened within 90 minutes of one another, with the first one taking place at 701 E. Hazzard Ave.

“In this incident, a white Nissan passenger car pulled up to the residence and shot at the residence from the vehicle,” the release reads. “No one was harmed inside or outside of the residence. It was determined that a white Chevrolet Camaro was also involved.”
Officers said they later found the Camaro, pulling it over and finding three underage girls inside.
The girls claimed they were hanging out with the man from the Nissan that was involved in the shooting, the release states.
But while police were at the first shooting scene, yet another drive-by happened less than two miles away at 1502 E. Lakeview Ave., the police department revealed.
Upon arrival at the second scene, police said they found 30 9mm shell casings at the nearby intersection with Orange Court.
“Contact was made with residents in the home that was struck who advised they did not know who did it, but believed it had something to do with individuals that they were having an ongoing argument with,” the release continues.
Now, police said that all five suspects involved in the shootings have been identified, though only three arrests have been made thus far.
A search warrant was executed, yielding an AR-15 style rifle, a mounted gun laser, and ammunition, investigators added.
One of the suspects was identified Friday night as 20-year-old Elijah Hood, who faces a charge of principal in the first-degree shooting of an occupied dwelling. The 2021 white Nissan was also recovered.
