Orlando’s fencing phenom heads to nationals

Choi remains focused on Olympic goal

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando’s Arianna Choi started fencing when she was 7 years old. She fell in love with it and completely committed to the sport. She’s competed in over 1,000 bouts since she started, collecting hundreds of wins. Now, five years after she first picked up an epee, she’s one of the best junior fencers in the United States. Twelve-year-old Arianna is ranked 7th nationally in her age range and just won her 7th gold medal Florida’s state fencing championships. She has sponsors and a social media following (IG: @AriannaTheFencer, Facebook: Arianna the Fencer).

She’ll test herself against the other top competitors at the 2026 USA Fencing Summer Nationals and July Challenge from June 27 - July 6. The event brings all the best fencers from all different ages ranges together. The field includes Olympians and Olympic hopefuls, like Arianna. Soon after she began fencing, she set the goal to make the Olympics one day and has never wavered. Arianna’s silver medal for Team USA at the 2025 Pan American games and the upcoming Summer Nationals keep her on that Olympic track.
