LADY LAKE, Fla. – Three years after a 20-year-old was shot and killed outside a Lady Lake home, police are still searching for answers in the town’s only unsolved homicide.
Lady Lake officials say 20-year-old Bryson “Swift” Leverette was one of two people shot at a home in the Skyline Hills area of town on June 30, 2023.

Leverette was leaving the Caroline Avenue home when police say he and the other victim were attacked by a group of people with several firearms, who then fled the area in unknown vehicles.
Leverette was killed, while the other victim survived.
Police have not been able to identify any suspects in the case. A neighbor News 6 spoke to at the time said the gunfire woke up the whole neighborhood, but they never saw anyone.
The police department says Leverette’s girlfriend has since given birth to the 20-year-old’s son, and his family continues to wait for a break in the case.
“Three years later, Bryson’s family is still waiting for answers,” said Detective Ronnie Williams. “Someone knows what happened that night, and we are asking them to come forward. Even the smallest piece of information could help bring justice to Bryson’s family.”
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Williams directly at (352) 751-1542 or rwilliams@ladylake.org. Anonymous tips can be submitted to CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
