ORLANDO, Fla. – High heat and dry conditions persist to start the upcoming week, leaving for at least one more day of heat advisories before a wetter pattern returns to Central Florida.
Monday
Heat advisories persist to start the week as a ridge of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere and a westerly wind at the surface combine to bake Central Florida. High temperatures will climb into the mid-upper 90s with “feels like” temperatures ranging 108-112ºF. Rain chances will remain low, sitting at around 20%. Rain chances are better the further north you go. North of Seminole County will see about 20-30% coverage after 2pm. South of Seminole County will only see about 10-20%.
Mid-Week
Rain chances begin to rise, up to 60% by Wednesday, as an upper level low develops over Florida and moves into the western Gulf. This will break down the ridge and increase moisture and instability in our atmosphere. Rain chances will stick around through the second half of the week and into the following weekend.
