MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Law enforcement arrested a Spring Hill man after over 26,000 pounds of litter was found dumped in the Ocala Wildlife Management Area, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
In a release, FWC officials said the investigation began on Aug. 3 after an officer found a large pile of illegally dumped debris in the in the management area.

“The debris consisted of concrete, metal roofing and household trash,” the release reads. “Marion County Waste Management removed the debris, which weighed 26,040 pounds.”
The investigation ultimately led officers to Eusebio Ramon, 32, who had been hired to haul away and dispose of the demolition debris, detectives noted.
The FWC reported that Ramon admitted to being solely responsible for dumping the debris, and he was taken into custody.
Ramon now faces a felony charge of littering over 500 pounds. He was released on Friday on a bond of $2,500.
