Parking lot road rage: Driver threatened with gun at Walmart

Deputies say victim told them Glenn Austin threatened him after he cut him off

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man is being charged with aggravated assault after an apparent road-rage incident at an Orlando Walmart.

Deputies said the victim told them Glenn Austin, 55, threatened him after he cut him off.

The victim told investigators he asked Austin, "Do you have a problem?"

Detectives said Austin responded by pulling up his pant leg, pointing to a gun holster and asked the victim, "Do you want to die today?"

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said Austin ran up to the deputy who arrived and showed his concealed carry permit. The officer wrote in his report that Austin had two Glocks strapped to his ankles.

Deputies said Austin never pulled out either gun, but felt he was capable of carrying out his threat.

Shoppers at the Walmart told News 6 that the tense incident serves as a reminder to always watch your surroundings.

"You never know what the other person is doing. I've heard stories of people getting shot at or stabbed just for honking at somebody," shopper Brian Wilson said. "I conceal myself. I mean, I'm not right this second, but I have it. Most of my friends do, too. And I have friends who have done the wrong thing and pulled it out and brandished it to somebody. I would never do that."

Law enforcement officials were able to look at surveillance video from the Walmart store and it's described as showing the entire incident.
