The man, later identified as 18-year-old Bernardo Teran, stopped about 5 feet away from the victim and held the plastic knife over his head with the blade pointing toward her, according to the affidavit.

Police said the victim ran inside her apartment because she was afraid Teran would harm her.

A second victim said she was near her condo at Miranda Condominium Complex about 10 minutes later, also unloading items from her trunk, when Teran approached her in his "Scream" mask, according to the report.

She said she ran inside her condo because she was scared.

Police said they found Teran walking by a wooded area near Miranda Condominium Complex, still wearing the white "Scream" mask and black attire and holding the 4.5 inch plastic knife.

Teran was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault while wearing a mask. He has since been released from the Orange County Jail.
