ORLANDO, Fla. – Best Buy shoppers in select markets, including four in Central Florida, will soon have access to a new in-store experience that blends appliances with home furnishings, thanks to a first-of-its-kind partnership between Best Buy and IKEA.
The retailers announced Thursday they will pilot co-branded shopping and planning spaces that showcase Best Buy’s latest kitchen and laundry appliances alongside IKEA’s home furnishings.

The collaboration marks the first time IKEA products and services will be offered through another U.S. retailer.
The Best Buy stores that will feature the IKEA shop-in-shop include stores in Daytona Beach, Lakeland, Melbourne and Orlando. To see the full list, see below:
“This partnership between IKEA and Best Buy is about making great design and functionality more accessible for the many,” Rob Olson, chief operation officer, IKEA U.S, said in a release. “By bringing together our home furnishing expertise, products, and services with Best Buy’s leadership in appliances and technology, we’re creating a one-stop destination where customers can design their dream kitchen, storage solutions or laundry space with ease. It’s a great step on our journey to helping people create beautiful, functional homes at a price they can afford.”
According to a news release, the select stores will feature 1,000-square-foot IKEA footprints that “showcase inspirational kitchen and laundry room settings.”
Customers will also be able to receive support from IKEA “co-workers” to plan and order home furnishing solutions and Best Buy’s blue shirts will also be in the store to provide advice on electronics.
In addition, officials with both companies announced that the Lakeland Best Buy, and an additional location in Texas, will serve as a pick-up point for IKEA shoppers, whether items were purchased through the IKEA in Best Buy design experience or at IKEA.com.
