VIDEO: Atlas V rocket launches Amazon’s Project Kuiper mission from Florida Rocket lifts off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – ULA’s Atlas V rocket on Thursday delivered another batch of Project Kuiper satellites into orbit for Amazon.
The launch — dubbed the “Kuiper 3″ mission — blasted off at 8:09 a.m. from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
“The launch continues a new chapter in the commercial launch industry as Amazon partners with ULA to deploy a majority of its advanced satellite constellation using eight Atlas V and 38 Vulcan rockets in accordance with the world’s largest commercial launch agreement,” ULA said in a statement.
The launch came less than four hours after SpaceX launched a Starlink mission from Florida’s Space Coast.
