Universal Epic Universe officially opens next week. What can we expect?
Cue the fanfare.
Hello, theme park news connoisseurs, it’s Haley.
The park is actually closed to the public next Tuesday and Wednesday before the grand opening, as media and big names of all kinds will be descending on the park.
If you’re familiar with Harry Potter attraction history, you know several actors and actresses attended big events, like the group photo seen above taken at the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley in 2014.
Now, think about turnout being on an “epic” scale.
I let a compilation of photos tell this story on the history of Universal big-day guests and the celebrity speculations for Epic Universe.
According to a permit filed with Orange County, there are several “talent trailers” on site.
Universal is hosting a blue carpet livestream next Wednesday at 7 p.m., so we’ll see who walks through the portals.
Don’t sleep on the shows 🐉🪄
If you have plans to visit a packed Epic Universe during the grand opening period, you might be looking for ways to maximize your time.
The two live stage shows the park has to offer are excellent. I have given praise to The Untrainable Dragon, calling it the best theme park stage show in Central Florida.
We put together a little rundown of what you can expect. A bonus about fitting these shows in is that you’re guaranteed a cool setting and a seat.
An epic day to remember 🎢
There was a surge of orange at Epic Universe recently, as the park hosted kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida.
Universal Orlando and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida have a longstanding partnership, so the group got a special preview of the park.
You can certainly see the excitement in their eyes just being able to be there.
SeaWorld Orlando
A good day with Guy Harvey 🦈
If you find yourself always admiring Guy Harvey’s work at SeaWorld Orlando (I know I do), you can plan on meeting the renowned artist and conservationist this weekend.
During Guy Harvey Weekend, he’ll host meet-and-greets, autograph signings and participate in special events.

Discovery Cove
Animal accolade 🦦
If you’ve never been to Discovery Cove, consider it for your next vacation, special family outing or an intimate date setting, as it tends to get slept on.
The all-inclusive day resort has been recognized by Newsweek for having the best animal encounters in Florida.
Discovery Cove is celebrating 25 years this summer, which means we can expect exciting things to come.
Gatorland
Gatorpalooza, go! 🐊
Need somewhere to go this weekend?
The event, which is included in park admission, promises a gator-good time, complete with activities, games and appearances by the Gatorland Vlog Team.
Walt Disney World
What’s this? A new Pumpkin King 🎃
The king of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has gotten a facelift!
In its announcement about this year’s event, Disney shared a video of Jack Skellington and Sally on its social media accounts. Jack looks noticeably different from his previous Pumpkin King look (see below), which is much more authentic to Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
By the way, tickets are now on sale for MNSSHP.
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex
Plan a rocket launch 🚀
Watching a rocket launch in person is one of Central Florida’s simple pleasures and the closer you are, the more spectacular.
The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is offering a launch-viewing experience for its Ax-4 mission next month, and the package has a lot to offer.

The summer season at the theme parks is practically here.
