My LEGO minifigure 🧱

Certain businesses can easily inspire you to take up or embrace a hobby — plant nurseries, craft, and LEGO shops.

Hello, builders. It’s Haley, refreshed after taking time off from work and having spent time at Central Florida’s theme park scene.

Legoland Florida’s Brick-or-Treat is back. While visiting the park to do my preview of the annual Halloween event, I was given a bonus tour of the new LEGO shop.

The main gift shop expanded by 2,000 square feet and now features more than 700 different LEGO sets.

The big highlights are two interactive shopping experiences: The LEGO Minifigure Factory, where you can design your own personalized minifigure, and the LEGO Mosaic Maker, where you can transform a photo into a mosaic.

I’m a sucker for a LEGO minifigure keychain, so I designed a Halloween-themed minifigure. I found the mosaic to be a unique, meaningful gift option.

Before leaving the LEGO shop, be sure to pause and admire the LEGO Tree of Discovery. This masterpiece reflects countless hours of dedication, and its Florida-themed design makes it a perfect photo opportunity.

Go Galacticoaster! 🚀

Legoland is making progress on its space-themed attraction and has given it an official name.

Galacticoaster is described as an interstellar LEGO adventure that combines high-speed thrills with imaginative storytelling.

The park also released a rendering of the spaceship ride vehicle and construction footage.

New narrators 🕯️

It’s a lineup we always enjoy looking at.

This year, there are eight new narrators for the 2025 EPCOT Candlelight Processional — Jennifer Garner, Henry Winkler, and Brie Larson to name a few.

So long, Launch Bay

It was a Star Wars hotspot when it first opened, but after the addition of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Star Wars Launch Bay became a quiet, empty corner of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

My favorite feature that Star Wars Launch Bay had was the fireworks dessert party package, which included prime seating for Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. COVID-19 put an end to that.

Taking over that space and the Animation Courtyard is a new “The Magic of Disney Animation” experience.

SeaWorld Orlando

Screams and sprints 👟

Haunted houses deliver heart-racing thrills, but just imagine how much more intense the adrenaline rush would be during a 5K haunted sprint.

SeaWorld Orlando is reviving its Howl-O-Scream 5K, the ultimate race for Halloween lovers who crave spooky thrills

A deep sea adventure 🦈

Another conservation-focused attraction is in the works at SeaWorld Orlando, and this time, they’re taking us underwater.

SEAQuest: Legends of the Deep, a first-of-its-kind suspended dark ride, will take guests on an immersive submersible adventure through undersea ecosystems.

It’s set to open next year and annual-pass members will get early access.
