With more and more people deciding to renovate their existing homes and spaces rather than purchasing a new one, a spot in the home that is getting extra remodeling attention is the bathroom.

But what exactly goes into a bathroom remodel?

John Roscoe of West Shore Home offered some insight into three questions about a bathroom remodel.

How long does a typical bathroom remodel take?

Roscoe said they vary, depending on the size and scope of a project.

“A typical remodel could take anywhere from a week to a month, or even more,” he said.

Roscoe said his company completes 95% of its bathrooms in one day.

What kind of bathroom designs are popular right now?

While trends and styles are constantly evolving, Roscoe said there is one look that has become popular as of late.

“We are seeing a ton of customers gravitating to that classic white look,” he said. “It gives a clean, spa-like appearance that’s easy to match to almost any bathroom style and decor.”

How much value can a bathroom add to a home?

Roscoe said a new bathroom can bring a sizable return when it comes to home value.

“According to industry data, bathrooms on average can return approximately 60% of the purchase value to the home,” he said.
