23-year-old rookie Austin Cindric wins Daytona 500

A rookie was the best at the Daytona 500 on Sunday.

Austin Cindric, a 23-year-old rookie who drives for Roger Penske’s team, held off a hard-charging Bubba Wallace at the finish line to claim the checkered flag at the Daytona 500.

It was only the eighth Cup Series start for Cindric.
