ORLANDO, Fla. – Independence Day falls on Friday, July 4, and Central Florida’s theme parks are the place to celebrate liberty and freedom with a bang of fireworks.
Below is a round-up of what you can expect.
Walt Disney World
Celebrating a holiday at The Most Magical Place on Earth makes a day at Walt Disney World all the more memorable, as the resort is known for its decorations, experiences, and cuisine.
- Dazzling fireworks: Red, white, blue and more brightly-colored fireworks will light up the night sky over the Magic Kingdom. “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” will take place on July 3 and July 4 at 9:20 p.m. At EPCOT, “The Heartbeat of Freedom,” will follow Luminous: The Symphony of Us” at 9 p.m. on July 4.
- The Flag Retreat: Every day at 5 p.m. in the Magic Kingdom Town Square, a ceremony retires the American flag for the night in a tribute to U.S. veterans. The gratitude among cast members and guests is all the more appreciative on a day when freedom rings loudly.
- Voices of Liberty Harmonies at EPCOT: The legendary a cappella vocal group will perform patriotic numbers throughout the day in the rotunda of The American Adventure.
- Spaceship Earth: Red, white and blue lights will envelop the EPCOT’s flagship attraction. Guests can enjoy the patriotic glow in World Celebration, which is part of the park’s recently completed multi-year transformation.
- Special Photo Ops: Mickey, Donald Duck, and Goofy don their “Spirit of ‘76″ attire, something that only happens on July 4.
- “Portraits of Courage:” The special exhibit from the George W. Bush Institute has been extended through 2026 at The American Adventure. The exhibit features 60 oil paintings of service members and veterans who have served in military uniform with honor since 9/11.
- Liberty Belle farewell: What better way to celebrate America than by getting a glimpse into our country’s past on the Liberty Square Riverboat cruising around Tom Sawyer Island? The last day to experience the Rivers of America attractions will be July 6.
- Hall of Presidents: After a months-long refurbishment, the longtime attraction is back open in time for Independence Day with the Donald Trump animatronic front and center.
Universal Orlando Resort
Universal Orlando Resort guests can celebrate the Fourth of July with special entertainment at Universal Studios Florida and Universal CityWalk.

Enjoy character meet-and-greets and a live DJ at the Universal Music Plaza Stage, plus the Universal Mega Movie Parade and CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular, and a special pyrotechnic moment near Transformers: The Ride.
Adding to the fun, Universal CityWalk Orlando will have live music, dancers, stilt walkers, and DJs at the Waterfront Stage, Plaza Stage, and Promenade.
The July 4th festivities continue at Universal Orlando’s newest theme park, Universal Epic Universe.
SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld Orlando is hosting a lineup of summer festivities fit for Independence Day and beyond.
- Ignite Fireworks: With the help of music, lighting, and pyrotechnics, Ignite Fireworks brings the brilliance of the sea up into the air. For the first time, this July 4th celebration will incorporate SeaWorld’s new nighttime drone show.
- 4th of July Sale: Save up to 55% on Tickets, Fun Cards and Annual Passes as part of SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando‘s 4th of July Sale.
Legoland Florida
There will be plenty of bricks, booms, and bites at Legoland Florida Resort on July 4-5.
Stars, stripes & snacks: Cool off with a Firework Freeze. The patriotic paleta layers tangy blueberry yogurt, creamy vanilla yogurt, and fresh strawberries for a festive treat that’s as bold as it is refreshing. A sprinkle of popping candy gives it an extra spark.
Booming entertainment: Guests can enjoy extended park hours with the fun lasting all the way until 9 p.m.! The celebration includes live entertainment and DJ dance parties that keep the whole family moving.
Go out with a BANG!: The park caps off Independence Day with an unforgettable fireworks show called Touch The Sky over Lake Eloise. All guests are encouraged to wear special and unique 3D viewing glasses that transform the fireworks into LEGO bricks right before your eyes.
Fun Spot America
Orlando’s hometown theme parks will ring in the fun this Fourth of July.
Fun Spot will launch a huge fireworks display at both Fun Spot Orlando and Fun Spot Kissimmee on July 4. The sky will come to life starting at 9:30 p.m.
Island H20
There will be foam and fireworks on the 4th at Island H2O Water Park
The after-hours celebration kicks off at 4 p.m., featuring water slides after dark, a foam party, festive bites and drinks, and prime viewing of the Sunset Walk fireworks from inside the park at 9:45 p.m.
ICON Park
In celebration of America’s 249th birthday, the Museum of Illusions Orlando is providing free admission to 249 U.S. military veterans and their families, through a national partnership with Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix).
