ORLANDO, Fla. – SeaWorld Orlando is ready to transform into a spine-chilling playground for runners with the Howl-O-Sprint 5K.
The only nighttime terror run of its kind returns Oct. 2.
Participants will race through haunted roller coasters, eerie landscapes, and scare zones.
Participants in the Howl-O-Sprint 5K will receive a commemorative race T-shirt and a custom finisher’s medal. Registration is capped at 2,000 runners and awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers. The top prize includes a $100 gift card to the Howl-O-Scream gift shop.

The race starts at 8 p.m., with parking available starting at 6 p.m. and registration beginning at 6:30 p.m.
After crossing the finish line, runners can celebrate their victory at an exclusive post-race party open only to participants and a limited number of spectators. The celebration, featuring live entertainment, food, and drinks, lasts until 11 p.m.
Race amenities include free parking, a finish-line festival with access to a new haunted house, and photo opportunities with Havoc, the event’s new hero. Jogging strollers are permitted but must start at the back of the pack.
Registration fees vary. Early registration is $85 for general participants and $66.66 for pass members until Sept. 13. Regular registration runs through Oct. 1, with race-day registration available if spots remain. Virtual participation is also available for $100.
Spectator tickets are limited to 500 and cost $25, granting access to the pavilion area before the race and the post-race festivities.
SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Sprint 5K is a rain-or-shine event. Safety rules prohibit bicycles, roller skates, and dogs on the course. Participants should stay alert and follow race signage.
Early packet pickup is available Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at the Hilton Garden Inn near SeaWorld Orlando. Race-day packet pickup begins at 6:30 p.m. at the park.

SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Scream event, running concurrently but separately ticketed, promises even more scares with six scare zones, five haunted houses, interactive bars, thrilling rides, roaming haunts, and shows.
Howl-O-Scream is intended for mature audiences and includes intense content such as violence and gore.
