LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – We’re all glad here that one chic Walt Disney World venue will soon be welcoming guests again.
The Garden View Lounge – Tea Experience at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is reopening its doors for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Starting March 19, guests can once again enjoy a whimsical afternoon tea inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Alice in Wonderland” with reservations opening Feb. 19.

This elegant tea service offers a journey of flavors with sweet and savory bites paired with a curated selection of Twinings teas. Guests can choose from classic blends like London Strand Breakfast and Spicy Chai, or unique options such as the exclusive Orangery of Lady Grey and Nutty Chocolate Flavored Assam. Non-caffeinated choices include Blackcurrant and Lavender herbal tea. Tea guides help customize each cup with aromatic additions and optional sweetness.
Two signature tea cocktails are also available: the Mint Tulip with Kentucky whiskey and peach mango tea, and the Mar-TEA-ni featuring Irish gin and Earl Grey. Non-alcoholic specialty teas include the Curiosi-TEA and This Way, That Way, alongside champagne and sparkling wines.
The food menu begins with an Orange-Cranberry Scone, followed by a three-tiered tea tower.
Savory selections:
- Curried Chicken Salad Playing Card Tart: Savory curried chicken salad filling topped with cherry gelée
- Footman’s Feast: Wonderland Salmon Crisp with a salmon rillette on a miso brown butter crisp
- Tweedledee Egg Salad Sandwich: A traditional egg salad on beet bread
- Caterpillar Cucumber Roll: A delicious combination with butterfly pea-infused cream cheese and cucumbers on pumpernickel
Sweet finishes:
- The Matcha Mad Hatter: Sponge cake with apricot jam and yuzu buttercream
- Tea Party Tart: Vanilla tart, coffee custard, and chantilly cream
- Flamingo Croquet Choux: Filled with passion fruit cream and a raspberry crunch
- Painting the Rose: Earl Grey-flavored teacake painted tableside
Plant-based options and enhancements like Seasonal Cheese Selection and Royal Osetra Caviar are offered.
Children’s Afternoon Tea includes mini sandwiches and desserts like the Cheshire Cat Raspberry Macaron and White Rabbit Cupcake, making it a family-friendly outing.
