BAY LAKE, Fla. – Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting a serious creativity upgrade this summer, as the map of experiences heading to The Magic of Disney Animation is officially taking shape.
Set inside a building inspired by the iconic Roy E. Disney Animation Building — complete with Mickey’s Sorcerer Hat perched on top — the collection of experiences transforms the reimagined Animation Courtyard into an interactive celebration of Disney’s animated legacy: studio departments, character meet-ups, sketch classes, and playground magic, all under one (very enchanted) roof.
“Drawn to Wonderland”
Bold colors, whimsical shapes, and the unmistakable Blair aesthetic bring the Mad Tea Party, the Queen of Hearts’ rose garden, and the Cheshire Cat’s Tulgey Wood to life in an immersive indoor playground designed for little explorers with big imaginations.
“Off the Page!”
The area takes guests behind the scenes of the animation process, where characters like Mulan, Rapunzel, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and Stitch pop up across studio departments ranging from Story to Lighting to Effects.
“Olaf Draws!”
Frozen’s friendly, adorable snowman takes center stage — as a brand-new Audio-Animatronics figure — guiding guests through character sketch sessions alongside recorded tips from real Disney animation artists. Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf, recorded original dialogue for the experience.
Rounding out the lineup: the Once Upon A Studio Theater, featuring the Emmy Award-winning short film with enhanced in-theater effects, plus an enchanted art gallery where beloved characters may just spring to life before your eyes.
The Magic of Disney Animation opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in late summer 2026.
