PLANT CITY, Fla. – Someone let pirates into Dinosaur World as the Plant City theme park is transforming into something far more sinister this fall.
Opening Saturday, Jurassic Haunt: Pirates of the Prehistoric is bringing with it a full pirate-prehistoric takeover. Crews are putting the final touches on thousands of lights, roaming animatronics and scare zones.
New this year: the Captains Crew Scare Zone, a Haunted Train Ride, Gem Mine, Fossil Dig and the all-new Jurassic Jungle. The fan-favorite Mammoth Gardens Scare Zone is also back.
After last year’s multiple sold-out nights, the park expanded both its parking and the event itself.
As for food, the expanded Halloween Market serves up Dirty Sodas, Swedish Waffles, kettle corn and drinks from Keel Farms Bar.
The fun runs select nights through Nov. 1. Tickets start at $19.95 — five bucks cheaper than the gate price. Click here for tickets and event information.
