WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Coastersaurus is roaring back to life at Legoland Florida Resort just in time for National Roller Coaster Day.

Florida’s only fully wooden roller coaster is set to reopen Sunday, following a comprehensive rebuild aimed at keeping the fan-favorite attraction running for another 20 to 30 years.

The reopening marks a significant moment for the resort, which chose to rebuild — rather than replace — the wooden coaster to preserve a rare piece of Florida’s amusement park history, a news release states.

Guests can expect a smoother, refreshed ride while still enjoying the classic feel that only a wooden coaster offers, officials said.

Little ones as small as 42 inches can join an adult for the prehistoric ride, while riders 48 inches and taller can take on Coastersaurus solo.
