Maybe the NFL teams set to play on Thanksgiving got caught looking ahead to the holiday extravaganza. All six squads playing on Thursday lost in their lead-up to the Thanksgiving game, marking the first time since 2001 that every team playing on the holiday dropped its previous contest. Back then there were only two Thanksgiving games, with Detroit hosting Green Bay and Dallas hosting Denver. The final two games on Thanksgiving are part of a record nine this week between teams that don't have a losing record, the most in NFL history in Week 12 or later. He passed for 382 yards and rushed for 90, the most by a Chargers QB in a game. Los Angeles took over at the 25 and scored four plays later when Herbert found Williams between the cornerback and safety. Williams, who had 97 yards on five catches, caught the ball at the Steelers 36-yard line and went untouched up the left sideline. Ekeler put the Chargers back up by two scores with his fourth score of the game before the Steelers scored 17 straight points to take the lead. Los Angeles is 3-1 for the first time since 2014 and part of a three-way tie atop the AFC West with Las Vegas and Denver. The Raiders scored on their first two possessions of the second half to draw within a touchdown, but Ekeler gave Los Angeles some breathing room with an 11-yard run off left guard. The Raiders could manage only 48 yards rushing against a Chargers defense that was last in the league in run defense. Los Angeles extended its lead to 21-0 at halftime by scoring on the final two drives of the first half.
