NEW YORK — (AP) — Barbra Streisand's very long-awaited memoir, a project she has talked about for years, is coming out this fall. Viking, a Penguin Random House imprint, will release "My Name is Barbra" on Nov. 7. “Dozens of books have been written about Streisand, and now in ‘My Name Is Barbra,’ she tells her story in her own words,” Viking announced Tuesday. “My Name Is Barbra” also is the title of a 1965 Streisand album and television special. Streisand, 80, told Fallon that she had written more than 800 pages, and she surely has enough stories to fill them.

Early Streisand nightclub recording remastered for release

NEW YORK — (AP) — A series of 1962 performances by Barbra Streisand at a Manhattan nightclub before she became a superstar have been remastered and will be released this fall. “Barbra Streisand — Live at the Bon Soir” features songs from a three night stint at the Bon Soir nightclub in Greenwich Village. Streisand kept the recordings in her personal collection and she approved the release after engineer Jochem van der Saag used technology to improve their quality, according to a news release. The release will allow listeners “to witness 20-year old Streisand at the dawn of her unparalleled career,” Friday's announcement said. “I had never even been in a nightclub until I sang in one," Streisand said in a statement, noting the release comes 60 years after the Bon Soir sessions.

The collection included transcripts of Glover's 1971 interviews with Dylan and letters the pair exchanged. The interviews reveal that Dylan had anti-Semitism on his mind when he changed his name from Robert Zimmerman, and that he wrote “Lay Lady Lay” for Barbra Streisand.
