New this week: Morgan Wallen music, tiger cubs and 'Herself'
Here’s a collection curated by The Associated Press’ entertainment journalists of what’s arriving on TV, streaming services and music platforms this week. Shia LaBeouf co-stars as her partner and Ellen Burstyn gets a meaty supporting role as her mother. “Pieces of a Woman” is not for the faint of heart but in the trauma, there is catharsis too. It’s loosely based on Davidson’s own life and childhood loss and the comedian gets a co-writing credit, too. It adds to the anticipation of his sophomore album, “Dangerous: The Double Album,” to be released Friday.

5 things you probably didn’t know about Jack White
After a not-so-funny opening monologue from comedian Bill Burr on this past weekend’s “SNL,” the show needed someone to save it, and guitarist and singer Jack White did just that. Backed by only a drummer (with the coolest drum kit ever) and bassist, Jack White dipped back into his extensive back catalogue of songs, and played some classics. And if you’ve been rocking out to The White Stripes since 1999, you probably already appreciate all of these things. White first saw a rise to fame with his duo The White Stripes. On the bright side, that didn’t stop Jack White from still making music.
Jack White to replace Morgan Wallen as 'SNL' musical guest
NEW YORK – Jack White will be the last-minute replacement musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” after country singer Morgan Wallen was dropped for breaking COVID-19 protocols. Wallen was removed as musical guest on Thursday after TikTok videos showed him partying last weekend without a mask on among a large group of people. Lorne Michaels announced White as a fill-in Friday on the “Today” show. “Saturday Night Live,” which will be hosted this Saturday by comedian Bill Burr, resumed live in-studio shows last weekend with a smaller live audience. Guests were required to take a COVID-19 test and temperature check at arrival, and wear masks inside the building.
Pete Davidson: 'The King of Staten Island' is 100% me
In this image released by Universal Pictures, Pete Davidson, left, appears with director Judd Apatow, center, during the filming of "The King of Staten Island." It was in front of a handful of people at a place called the Looney Bin Comedy Club in Staten Island. Its an ironic place for Davidson to be since The King of Staten Island, a comedy Davidson co-wrote with Apatow and Dave Sirus, begins with him playing videogames in his moms basement. The King of Staten Island may change that. Ill never forget that. For those who know him more from the tabloids, The King of Staten Island will certainly reveal a different side to Davidson.
