Lake County no longer wants controversial Confederate statue
LAKE COUNTY, Fla. Lake County commissioners said Tuesday it is going to ask Gov. In the past, the commission endorsed moving the statue to the Lake County Historical Society. The group even filed a lawsuit against the county to keep the statue from being put on display at the Lake County Historical Museum. Residents expressed their grievances of housing the statue in Lake County, asking commissioners to do the right thing from the podium.
