Woman charged with attempted murder after striking, shooting man several times, police say
ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — A woman was charged with second-degree attempted murder after police said she shot a man several times and struck him twice in Altamonte Springs. Just before 10 p.m. Monday, police said they responded to 112 Essex Avenue in reference to a shooting. Officers said they found a 28-year-old man who was shot multiple times. Investigators said Mendez was acquaintances with the man and reportedly had an argument with him before she fired several rounds at the man and struck him twice in the parking lot.
