Kessel sets Ironman mark, scores 400th goal in 4-2 Vegas win
SAN JOSE, Calif. — (AP) — Phil Kessel celebrated his NHL Ironman record by scoring his 400th career goal and the Vegas Golden Knights beat the San Jose Sharks 4-2 on Tuesday night. Kessel nearly reached that mark on Monday before an offsides challenge wiped off his goal against Toronto. Adin Hill made 29 saves in his first game against San Jose since being traded to Vegas this summer. Reimer made 27 saves for San Jose. There is no timeline for the return of San Jose D Markus Nutivaara, who has been out since training camp with a lower-body injury.

The 35-year-old Yandle passed the previous mark set by Doug Jarvis, who played 964 straight games over his entire career from Oct. 8, 1975, to Oct. 10, 1987.
