Owner Mark Cuban promised he would erect a statue in Nowitzki's honor when the team retired Nowitzki's No. Nowitzki averaged 20.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in his 21-year career. Unbeknownst to Nelson, the lawsuit said, Cuban had reached a confidential settlement with the applicant. The deterioration of his relationship with Cuban, which Nelson said had previously been close, climaxed with his firing, the lawsuit alleged. Nelson also accused Cuban of a pattern of covering up sexual misconduct claims. Mavs' Porzingis shrugs off trade talk after latest injury

Porzingis' right knee caused a 10-game absence earlier in his first Dallas season. Porzingis also missed half of the six games during a first-round playoff loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in August. It will be almost two weeks between games for Porzingis if he plays against Brooklyn. AdHis defense has suffered, with Porzingis ranking near the bottom of the NBA in defensive efficiency while averaging 1.6 blocks per game.

Patrick said he intends to introduce a bill in the Texas Senate that will ensure the national anthem is played at all events that receive public funding.
