Dolphins sign Mike Glennon with Teddy Bridgewater injured ahead of must-win game vs. Jets
With their season on the line, the Miami Dolphins are turning to ... Mike Glennon. If Bridgewater can't play against the New York Jets in Week 18, it's assumed Thompson will get the start. It looks like Glennon was signed as an insurance policy in case the Dolphins only have one active quarterback in Week 18. Fromm flops in 1st start, benched in Giants' loss to Eagles
Jake Fromm got a pep talk before his first NFL start from the ineffective New York Giants quarterback he replaced in the lineup. Fromm got an early hook and gave coach Joe Judge little choice but to bench him in the third quarter with a debut that seemed to get worse with each drive. Fromm went 6 of 17 for 25 yards and one interception.news.yahoo.com
Cowboys inch close to playoff berth as D, Lawrence dominate
Dallas would clinch a playoff berth later Sunday with a loss or tie by New Orleans or a loss by San Francisco. Graham Gano kicked field goals of 35 and 42 yards as the Giants (4-10) lost their third straight game with backup Mike Glennon starting for the injured Daniel Jones (neck). With Glennon now concussed, Giants' issues at QB worsen
Not only is there no clarity on when starter Daniel Jones — who missed Sunday’s 20-9 loss to Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins with a neck injury — can return, but now his backup may be looking at an extended absence as well. Mike Glennon was diagnosed postgame with a concussion, the hardest hit on a day where the Giants took many in Miami. “Look, I don’t know if you guys saw my high school quarterback tape, but I’m going to put it out there, emergency,” Giants safety Logan Ryan said.news.yahoo.com
Daniel Jones will not play against Dolphins, neck injury
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — (AP) — New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will not play against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday because of a neck injury, and he could be out longer. Judge said it is uncertain at this point when Jones will be cleared to play. Jones, who has started every game this season, sustained what he said was a strained neck against the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday. He also spoke with the receivers and new offensive play caller Freddie Kitchens about what plays he feels comfortable running. He said the Giants' offensive system is a little different than the Bills' schemes, but he is learning it as quickly as he can.wftv.com

That means that going into tonight’s Saints-Buccaneers showdown, home teams are 65-65-1 so far this season. That homefield advantage has largely been erased with sparse crowds or no fans at games because of the coronavirus pandemic. Las Vegas though has taken control on its first two drives of the second half. Neither had started an NFL game, but both have been in the league much longer than DiNucci. The Tennessee Titans already lost left tackle Taylor Lewan for the season, and now they are without left guard Rodger Saffold.
