‘Dr. Oz’ aids police in resuscitating man at Newark airport

In the pardon, Lil Wayne was praised for his “commitment to a variety of charities, including donations to research hospitals and a host of foodbanks.” Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders backed the pardon. Lil Wayne is one of the seminal figures in rap in the last two decades, selling more than 20 million albums in the U.S. since releasing his debut in 1999. Trump administration asking states to speed vaccine, not hold back second dose
WASHINGTON – Facing a slower-than-hoped coronavirus vaccine rollout, the Trump administration abruptly shifted gears Tuesday to speed the delivery of shots to more people. “If you are not using vaccines that you have the right to, then we should be rebalancing to states that are using that vaccine," Azar said at news conference. Azar said some states are being “overly prescriptive and trying to micromanage every single dose of vaccine,” leading to bottlenecks. Biden has set a goal of 100 million shots administered in his first 100 days. Local public health officials were surprised by Tuesday’s announcement and scrambling to figure out how to implement the changes, said Adriane Casalotti of NACCHO, the National Association of County and City Health Officials.

Robert W. Gore, the inventor of Gore-Tex fabric, dead at 83
– Robert W. Gore, whose invention of what created the breathable-yet-waterproof fabric known as Gore-Tex revolutionized outdoor wear and helped spawn uses in numerous other fields, has died. Gore discovered a new form of a polymer in 1969 at a company lab in Newark, Delaware. Gore was born in Utah, the oldest of five children to Bill and Vieve Gore, who both founded the company in 1958. New Jersey law seeks to stem pollution in minority areas
Phil Murphy signed into law Friday a measure giving state regulators power to deny development permits to businesses whose operations pollute predominantly Black and other minority communities. He signed the bill alongside state lawmakers and U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, who has introduced similar legislation in Washington. They’re defined as census tracts where 35% of the population has low income, or where 40% of households are minority or have limited English proficiency. The law gives regulators the authority to deny permits in such instances for the first time. Current law applies broadly and makes it difficult to deny permits, according to state officials.
