A Brevard County woman was arrested after she reportedly threatened to burn down Rockledge High School, according to the police department.

Police arrested three people at Rockledge High School Friday after the school was put on lockdown because of a report of a firearm on campus.

Caroline Kent spent more than 30 years teaching students in Brevard County.

Brevard Public Schools shared pictures inside its supply warehouse with pallets of masks, gloves, wipes, hand sanitizer and more personal protective equipment that the district said is headed to every school by Friday. ROCKLEDGE, Fla. A new video from Rockledge High School shows what the teachers union calls the ideal classroom for the start of the new year. The Brevard Federation of Teachers video showed hand sanitizer, wipes, masks, Plexiglas, and spacing between desks. The union said the classroom makes them feel confident about teachers safely coming back to schools Monday and their students in another two weeks. The teachers union does not think every classroom will meet the guidelines as well as the one in its video does. School board members will meet Tuesday morning to discuss creating standards for judging how to know if schools are staying safe.

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Rockledge High School was put on lockdown Tuesday morning after a student reported seeing a gun on campus that was later determined to be a wooden ROTC rifle, Brevard County School District officials said. According to a news release, a student reported a weapon on campus after seeing a ROTC student carrying a wooden rifle, which is used to practice drills and formations. Officials said the ROTC student was located off-campus with the drill rifle and will not be facing any charges. School district officials sent out a release to parents to notify them of the incident. ROCKLEDGE, Fla. – A pair of apparently unrelated incidents last week at Rockledge High School involving students using racist language and “vulgar” graffiti prompted the principal to reach out to parents, reports News 6 partner Florida Today. The graffiti included "vulgar" imagery and derogatory statements toward school staff, Clark said. Earlier video depicts students using racist languageThe vandalism came three days after the school became aware of a video posted to social media depicting several students using racist language. Suspensions are allowed under School Board policy when a student's actions are illegal or violate board policy or school rules. In his statement to parents, Clark condemned the language in the video.
