San Francisco Giants pitcher Carlos Rodón apologies for kicking bat at teammate

Unfortunately, when Rodón kicked the bat, it careened into the right knee of Giants shortstop Thairo Estrada, who fell to the ground in obvious confusion and discomfort. Built up frustration from Rodón, GiantsEarlier in the game, Rodón was seen in the dugout visibility angry at himself for giving up a two-run home run in the second inning and slammed his glove into the dugout.

It was the ninth straight game in which a Giants starter allowed two runs or fewer, the second longest streak since 1901. The game-time temperature was 35 degrees, the coldest for a first pitch in a Giants game since 1990. The Giants made it 6-0 in the sixth on Estrada's RBI double and Steven Duggar's run-scoring single off Eli Morgan.

The move was retroactive to Wednesday and Boone described the strain as mild after an MRI revealed the injury. To replace Judge on the active roster, Thairo Estrada was recalled from the Yankees alternate site in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. His right wrist was broken when he was hit by a pitch in 2018 and he went on the injured list for two months last year with a left oblique strain.

Hit or error? MLB official scorers work remotely thru virus
Baseball is back, but because of the coronavirus, official scorers this season will rule remotely on hits and errors and other plays. MLB is limiting the number of people at the ballpark, including in the press box, and decided official scorers could make their calls without seeing the game in person. Probably a touch unfair to the official scorer, which could end up affecting the players, Francona said. "Its tough enough to be an official scorer when youre sitting up high. You never know until you try it.So the scorers will render their rulings from the study or porch or kitchen table, the decision then debated by countless would-be official scorers also watching while safe at home.
