DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — As many as 25,000 people are expected to converge on Daytona Beach for a five-day event called the Orange Crush Festival. Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood went as far as sending a letter to the organizers, telling him to cease and desist promoting the Daytona Beach event. Orange Crush has been held in Tybee Island in South Carolina, where police reported issues with drinking, drugs and trash years ago.
