Nextdoor app adds new feature for Halloween during pandemic
An app thatโs usually for trick or treaters can now be used by families looking for safer ways to celebrate Halloween. The app is often used to find out which homes are passing out candy and the haunted houses in a neighborhood. But this year Nextdoor says itโs added new features for families looking to celebrate and social distance. That way families can drive by and enjoy the spooky decor. This is just another way to help celebrate the seasonal festivities while also being safe during a pandemic.
Struggling to stay sober? Curious about cutting back? Thereโs an app for that
โA big no-no (for those trying to get or stay sober) is isolation.โGottlieb would know. It includes sober dating, travel information, community groups, booze-less guides, where to find the best mocktails; you name it. AdHow can the app help? For example, select โI just relapsed and I need helpโ or โWeekend and holiday support,โ and youโll be linked with people and resources. โSome people are coming out of the hospitality industry -- people with no money, who need help now,โ Gottlieb said.
