Thursday and Friday were plagued by heavy rains and flood conditions especially for our east coast counties. Today, the skies may not have cleared yet, but the Fall air mass is making its way through the peninsula. How long will these conditions stick around?

Heavy rainfall causes the Little Wekiva River near Altamonte Springs to rise.

The combination of a stiff northeast breeze, astronomical high tide and recent heavy rain sent the river into minor flood stage Thursday. Continued rain has caused the river to rise even further.

A flood warning is in effect until further notice for the St. Johns River near Astor.
