The crash happened Tuesday morning at Sewing Studio Fabric Superstore on U.S. Highway 17-92 near Spartan Drive.

According to officials, Joseph Batsch, 28, of Winter Springs, was driving the pickup and said he was cut off in traffic. Batsch swerved to avoid a crash and lost control of the pickup before slamming into the building, authorities said.

Batsch was not seriously injured and won't be cited because he was cut off in traffic, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The owner of the business said a room where sewing classes are held was damaged.

A monetary damage estimate has not been released.

One northbound lane of U.S. Highway 17-92 was closed in the area but reopened later.
