19-year-old woman hit, killed in Sanford Pedestrian hit while trying to cross road No description found
SANFORD, Fla. – A 19-year-old woman was killed late Wednesday in a crash in Seminole County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said Angel Raye Johnson, of Sanford, was trying to cross Sanford Avenue near Airport Boulevard when she was hit by a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 36-year-old Oviedo man.
Troopers said Johnson was in the crosswalk when she was struck. She was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital, where she died, the FHP said.
It is unclear if the driver will face any charges.
The crash is under investigation.
