Daytona Beach woman killed in crash on I-95

Car strikes tree near New Smyrna Beach

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – A 41-year-old Daytona Beach woman was killed Wednesday morning in a crash on I-95 in Volusia County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal crash was reported around 7 a.m. on I-95 south near New Smyrna Beach.

According to the FHP, Faith Cerrone was driving a 2014 Nissan south on I-95 when the car left the road for an unknown reason and struck a tree.

Cerrone, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, the FHP said.
