Ocala woman killed in 2-vehicle rollover crash

Florida Highway Patrol says charges pending against other driver

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A 52-year-old Ocala woman was killed late Thursday in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 in Marion County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The FHP said Judith Boris died in the wreck, which was reported around 11 p.m. on I-75 north near mile marker 346.

Troopers said Mayra Ramirez, 54, of Ocala, was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse when she struck the rear of Boris’ 2001 Toyota Tacoma.

The Tacoma left the road and overturned several times, ejecting Boris, who was pronounced dead at the scene, the FHP said.

Ramirez suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, according to an FHP report.

The report said Boris was not wearing a seat belt.

Charges are pending against Ramirez.
