Troopers said Mayra Ramirez, 54, of Ocala, was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse when she struck the rear of Boris’ 2001 Toyota Tacoma.

The Tacoma left the road and overturned several times, ejecting Boris, who was pronounced dead at the scene, the FHP said.

Ramirez suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, according to an FHP report.

The report said Boris was not wearing a seat belt.

Charges are pending against Ramirez.
