Woman lying in road hit, killed by car in Seminole County, troopers say

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A woman lying in the road in Seminole County was struck and killed by a car early Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a SUV driven by a 19-year-old man was heading east on Lake Mills Road when he hit the pedestrian around 1:20 a.m.

FHP said the 29-year-old Chuluota woman was in the roadway next to a bicycle. According to a crash report, it was determined she was not struck by another vehicle prior to this crash.

She was pronounced dead on scene, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation.
