Police ID pedestrian critically injured in Sanford crash

Injured man is Hispanic, possibly mid 20s with no tattoos

SANFORD, Fla. – Sanford police earlier this week asked the public to help identify a man who was struck by a vehicle Sunday night, reporting Thursday that a positive ID had been made and thanking those who shared the information.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. as the man walked southbound on 25th Street near Palmetto Avenue, police said on social media.

The man, described as Hispanic and possibly in his mid 20s with no tattoos, was hospitalized in critical condition, according to the post.

No criminal charges are pending at the time of this report, police said.
